Capture Oakville

Overview

The Capture Oakville Photography Competition is the Club’s annual competition, which is open to OCC Members and the broader community in Ontario.  This flagship event was first hosted as a Print Exhibition in 2007, and this year we are excited to announce our 20th Anniversary event with a special new photo category – Moments that Endure. This premier annual event provides opportunities for photographers of all skill levels in our community (Ontario residents) to demonstrate their creative potential. It also offers an excellent sponsorship opportunity, including visibility through advertising, signage, and publicity.

OCC is unique as it is the only formal club in Oakville promoting the photographic arts within our community. Photography today is more popular than ever, and more accessible to everyone.  From film to an Android phone to an iPhone to a point-and-shoot to a full DSLR, we welcome everyone with any type of camera.  OCC provides a forum for amateur and enthusiast photographers to develop their artistic skills and creativity, and a means to measure their skills and progress through competitions.

The Awards Gala, held on May 22nd, 2026, is a celebration of photographers and showcases their images to patrons and citizens. The Queen Elizabeth Park Community Centre and Cultural Centre provided an ideal venue for the Gala and as a host for framed prints for the following year.
